Event Details
Dates:
- Saturday 21st – Sunday 22nd February 2026 (Everyone)
- Monday 23rd February 2026 (Composers & Storytellers only)
Timings:
- Registrations open from 8.00am
- Saturday & Sunday: begins at 8.30am sharp and concludes between 5.30pm and 6pm each day
- Monday: begins at 9.30am sharp and concludes between 12pm (midday) and 1pm
- Storytellers will be able to enter 60 mins prior to the start of each day and spend time with Vinh!

Location: Corner of City Road and Cleveland Street, Chippendale, Sydney.
Accommodation:
While we do not have a special group rate or reserved rooms at a specific hotel for this event, the surrounding area offers many excellent hotels. For your convenience, we have identified some options nearby:
Adina Apartment Hotel Chippendale (4-star) – less than 5-minute walk.
Four Points by Sheraton, Central Park (4-star) – approx. 10-minute walk.
The Old Clare Hotel (5-star) – approx. 15-minute walk.
Parking:
If you are local to Sydney and/or you will be driving in, the closest secure car park is the Shepherd St multi-storey car park located on the corner of Cleveland St and Shepherd St. More information on the parking options can be found here.
Catering
The workshop is fully catered for.
If you have forgotten to provide us with dietary requirements, please email your dietary requirements to events@vinhgiang.com and forward us your ticket order receipt.
What to bring & other details
- Lots of energy and a willingness to put yourself out of your comfort zone
- Pens and notebooks will be provided to you. However, if you prefer to use your own device, you’re welcome to bring it.
- A sweater or jacket, just in case you get cold!
- An open mind and be ready to challenge yourself 😉
Dress Code
While we don’t have a particular dress code, we advise you to dress in a way that will be comfortable yet respectful to everyone. We recommend layers as the temperature inside the theatre may differ quite a lot compared to outside.
Keep in mind that there’s a chance you may be called on stage (and filmed) so take that into consideration with respect to how you’d like to dress!
Pre-Work/Materials
Please come prepared with a story you can tell in 3 minutes or less.
This can be about who you are, a funny event, or something that has led you to this point in life! This story should not be traumatic, or anything that would cause you to become teary or overly emotional!
Emergencies
Our friendly staff will be with you throughout the workshop to provide any assistance you might need. In case of an emergency, please contact our Head of Events, Kan Huang at events@vinhgiang.com.
No problem, there will be dedicated space for you to place your luggage in the venue or with the hotel concierge. We’ve hired the entire theatre exclusively and will keep a close eye on the luggage, but unfortunately cannot take responsibility if things were to go amiss.
Unfortunately not, the footage is used to help improve our future events and may be used for marketing purposes.
Photos with Vinh are reserved only if you are a fast action taker (first 20 ticket purchasers).
This workshop is strictly in a group setting. If time allows, Vinh may spend some time with socialising with everyone throughout the workshop.
